So I haven't blogged in a long time so I think it's time. I finally graduated from PA school! I really wondered if that day would ever come. It was August 15, 2008. It was a nice dinner and ceremony. I had friends and family there to watch me graduate and to see me "coated"- a rite that entails having a long white coat placed on you. (The short white coat shows you are a student, the long white coat shows you are a provider.)
The next night was a dinner cruise our class worked for two years to raise funds for so we didn't have to pay our way. That was a nice evening, too. I got to see my PA school friends together one last time. I also ate dinner with my dad, a couple friends from school, and Kylene and Jeremy who are friends from school and church. (Kylene and I were in the same Ward while we were in our first year of PA school. She met Jeremy there and they got married during school. Crazy, huh? PA school is hard enough, forget about trying to learn how to live with someone new and all the wedding stuff!!!) Hopefully dad will send me some pics so I can post them here in this blog.
So, it's official. . . since I graduated from a PA program, I can sit for PANCE (Boards) which are coming up tomorrow! Yes, I'm a little nervous, but hopeful. I don't want to have to take them twice!
